To inspire students' interest in mathematics and enhance their mathematical modeling skills, the Final of the 19th Technical Skills Festival - Mathematical Modeling Competition was successfully held in Room 503 of the Teaching Building on November 21, 2025. Organized by the Basic Teaching Department, this event attracted nearly 20 students from the entire school to participate.
Closely aligned with the characteristics of higher vocational majors, this mathematical modeling competition included several major sections in its questions, such as the "Quick Calculation Expert Challenge", "Mathematical Modeling Micro-projects" and "Mathematical Knowledge in Daily Life". After fierce competition, a total of 1 first prize, 2 second prizes and 3 third prizes were selected. The award-winning students stated that the competition had stimulated their interest in the application of mathematics, and they would integrate modeling skills into their professional learning in the future.
Guided by the concept of "learning by doing and applying while learning", this competition effectively promoted the in-depth integration of mathematics teaching and professional skills, injecting new impetus into the cultivation of high-quality technical and skilled talents. The Basic Teaching Department will continue to advance the reform of mathematics courses,thus trulyempowering students'career development with mathematics.
