As autumn brings refreshing breezes, a 32-member teacher-student delegation from the Institute of Technical Education (ITE) in Singapore visited our Vocational College and Technical School from September 30 to October 1 to carry out a student exchange program

Welcome Ceremony
At the welcome meeting, Party Secretary Wang Zhenjun delivered a welcome speech to the Singaporean delegation. Deputy Party Secretary Yang Yang introduced the basic information and characteristics of our school, and encouraged teachers and students to learn from each other, broaden their horizons, enhance mutual understanding, and continuously improve the level of international exchanges. Directors of the Student Affairs Office, Academic Affairs Office, Deputy Director of the University Cooperation Office, Deputy Directors of the Mechanical and Electrical Engineering Department and Manufacturing Engineering Department, League Committee staff, and international exchange specialists attended the meeting.

Professional Learning
From September 24 to 26, the Mechanical and Electrical Engineering Department and Manufacturing Engineering Department carefully arranged a variety of professional courses taught entirely in English for the Singaporean students. Teachers Fu Fei and Liu Wei from the Manufacturing Engineering Department delivered courses titled "CNC Multi-Axis Part Modeling" and "Basic Application of Additive Manufacturing," while Teacher Xie Zhenzhen from the Mechanical and Electrical Engineering Department meticulously prepared the course "Industrial Robot Teaching Programming" for the Singaporean students. The classrooms were filled with active teacher-student interaction and a lively atmosphere. Through the close integration of theory and practice, the classes were full of a sense of achievement and joy.

Meanwhile, Yang Jizhou, the instructor of Singapore's TED (Technology Engineer Development) program, led his team members to conduct in-depth project discussions and design exchanges with teachers and students of our school's 2026 TED project team. This not only fully prepared for the cooperative works of the two schools next year but also forged a profound friendship through constant consultations and exchanges.

School and Enterprise Visits
On the morning of September 29, the Singaporean teacher-student delegation visited the Songjiang Main Campus of Shanghai University of Engineering Science under the careful planning and arrangement of the University Cooperation Office. In the Mechanical Innovation Base and Automotive Innovation Base of the Student Science and Technology Innovation Center of the School of Mechanical and Automotive Engineering, the exchange students carefully listened to the introduction of innovative projects by the responsible teachers and observed student project works and intelligent control technology demonstrations up close. Especially in the Muyuan Mecha Studio of the Mechanical Innovation Base, the exchange students experienced the fun of personally operating combat robots, and warm discussions and laughter echoed from time to time on the scene, allowing them to feel the charm of scientific and technological innovation through practical interaction.

In the afternoon, the exchange teachers and students visited Shanghai Union Technology Co., Ltd. located in Songjiang District, immersing themselves in the innovative charm of 3D printing. In the 3D product exhibition hall, company staff displayed exhibits such as aerospace components and medical models, and explained the principles and application scenarios of 3D printing technology. In the workshop, teachers and students watched the operation of 3D printers up close, marveling at the process of material layer-by-layer stacking and forming. This visit broadened their horizons, stimulated the interest of Singaporean teachers and students in China's advanced manufacturing technology, and brought new opportunities for future cooperation between China and Singapore.

Cultural Activities
The school's League Committee organized a variety of student exchange activities, sports activities, and talent shows, providing students with ample opportunities to communicate and learn from each other's cultures. On campus, students from both schools were full of vitality and laughter. During the campus tour, the Singaporean teachers and students were attracted by the rich cultural construction and beautiful green scenery, frequently taking photos to preserve the wonderful moments.

On the morning of September 30, our school held a farewell party for the ITE teacher-student delegation from Singapore.
