Pride in Mind, Prize in Play: Shanghai Technician School Celebrates Victory at 2025 Mind Sports Games

    On October 25-26, 2025, the Shanghai Secondary Vocational School Mind Sports Games took place as scheduled. Shanghai Technician School fielded a team of 18 outstanding students who competed in 7-9 rounds of intense matches over two days. Displaying remarkable composure and technical proficiency, the team ultimately secured multiple honors in both team and individual categories.

    In the team competitions, our students demonstrated remarkable expertise cultivated through persistent training. The Go team, consisting of Ma Tianyue, Shu Youchen, Yang Xinle, and Gu Junhao, displayed exceptional synergy and sophisticated strategic thinking. Through precise opening strategies and steady execution, they progressed triumphantly through multiple rounds, ultimately securing third place in the team competition. The Chinese chess team, comprising Chen Muzhou, Hu Yufan, Mo Mengqi, Lu Yunhao, and Zhu Jiaying, exhibited profound understanding of the game's fundamentals. Maintaining composure during intense matches, they responded thoughtfully to various challenges, earning fourth place in the mixed team event. Meanwhile, the international chess team, formed by Mei Hong, Wu Yiyang, Zhao Yumeng, and Zhu Chenxiao, delivered equally impressive performances. Their sophisticated tactical understanding and positional mastery enabled them to achieve fourth place in the mixed team competition.

    Individual competitions also witnessed outstanding performances. Ma Tianyue demonstrated his Go proficiency by capturing sixth place in the men's individual category. Chen Muzhou showcased his Chinese chess expertise by securing sixth place among male competitors. In international chess, Mei Hong displayed strong tactical skills to claim seventh place in the men's individual standings. Additionally, Mo Mengqi and Shu Youchen were awarded the Sportsmanship Prize for their exemplary conduct, respect for opponents, and positive competitive spirit, fully embodying the school's ethos of "making friends through chess and prioritizing virtue in competition."

    These outstanding results not only reflect the effectiveness of our school's education in sports and comprehensive quality development, but also showcase the students' competitive spirit and intellectual prowess.
