The new semester brings a fresh atmosphere, with classrooms and training centers bustling with activity. Young teacher Liu Jun from the Mechanical and Electrical Engineering Department is also deeply involved in intense training at the national training base in Shandong.
On February 2nd, Liu Jun just concluded the first phase of the intensive training at the Tieling National Training Base in the northeast and returned to Shanghai. After a brief rest, on February 16th, he headed to the national training base in Shandong to begin the second phase of intensive training.
As the only Shanghai competitor selected for the Chinese National Training Team for Industrial Control in the 47th WorldSkills Competition, Liu Jun will compete against top competitors from other provinces and cities for the sole qualification to represent China in the WorldSkills Competition. In addition to skill training, the second phase of the training includes physical fitness training to help competitors adapt to the long duration of the competition. This phase of training has even introduced new "international members," with foreign competitors representing Canada joining the Chinese competitors in the training. To ensure Liu Jun can fully concentrate on the training, the competition coaching team from the Mechanical and Electrical Engineering Department is providing full support. On February 16th, Teacher Zheng Hao gave up his vacation to accompany Liu Jun to Shandong for the training. Subsequently, Teacher Sun Guorong joined the team in Shandong on February 25th for the accompanying training. Teacher Jiangshan will take over in March, continuing to provide technical guidance and training support at the Shandong training base for Liu Jun.
Aiming for the WorldSkills Competition, setting off on the journey again! We hope that Liu Jun and the Mechanical and Electrical Engineering Department's competition team can break through history!
