Deepening the integration of industry and education and exploring the Development of vocational Education -- Higher vocational colleges investigated vocational and technical colleges in Suzhou Industrial Park

In order to realize the modernization of education, in response to President Xi’s instructions on accelerating the modernization of education, deepening the integration of production and education, and implementing the fundamental task of virtue and people, the vice president of Higher vocational College and Xiao Qian led the director of the Department of Manufacturing Engineering Li Houjia and Deputy Director Zhou Libo to carry out study and research in the Intelligent Manufacturing College of Suzhou Industrial Park Vocational and Technical College on March 27. Vice President CAI Haifei of Suzhou Industrial Park Vocational and Technical College, President Han Liyang of Intelligent Manufacturing College, Vice President Wang Jiaqing and Vice President Li Fenjuan warmly received the visiting team and arranged a series of visit and exchange activities.



The research team visited the teaching and training bases jointly built by Suzhou Industrial Park Vocational and Technical College and enterprises, including Haigong Haidu Robot Research Center, Huaxing Display College and Yvette Teaching Factory. At the subsequent exchange symposium, the two sides made an in-depth introduction and exchange on the school-running situation and school-running characteristics of the school, as well as the overall situation of the intelligent manufacturing College, the integration of industry and education, school-enterprise cooperation, modern apprenticeship system, skill personnel training, scientific research and other aspects.


      

    As a national demonstration higher vocational college and a high-level higher vocational school with Chinese characteristics in Jiangsu Province, Suzhou Industrial Park Vocational and Technical College has successfully learned from the educational model of Nanyang Polytechnic in Singapore, and formed three educational characteristics: mixed ownership, in-depth integration of schools and enterprises, and international cooperation and exchange. The school has five schools: Intelligent Manufacturing School, Artificial Intelligence School, Architecture and Art School, Business School, Humanities and International School, offering 53 majors. Guided by the integration of production and education, the school has built 108 on-campus training rooms through in-depth cooperation with a number of Fortune 500 enterprises and industry leaders, and continues to innovate education models to steadily promote education and teaching reform.

Our team has been deeply inspired by this research visit. The rich experience and advanced model of Suzhou Industrial Park Vocational and Technical College in the integration of industry and education, school-enterprise cooperation, modern apprenticeship and other aspects have provided valuable references for the construction of our school. Our school will continue to explore and deepen these educational models, and is committed to contributing to the development of education and industry, and cultivating more high-quality technical talents.
