On November 14th, Shanghai Technical Secondary School Sports Association, which was entrusted by the Vocational Education Department and the Sports and Health Arts Department of Shanghai Education Commission, formed a research and supervision team to conduct research (supervision) in our school. The research (supervision) was presided over by Guo Hong, Secretary General of Shanghai Technical Secondary School Sports Association. Zheng Shubin, deputy secretary of the Party Committee and president of the college, Xiao Qian, vice president of Shanghai Technician School, leaders of the Basic Teaching Department, and some teachers from the Sports Teaching and Research Section attended.
Vice President Xiao Qian made a detailed and comprehensive report to the research (supervision) team from seven aspects: school sports organization and management, curriculum reform, competitive training, condition guarantee, students’ physical health, characteristic projects, summary and prospect.
The purpose of this investigation (supervision) is to promote the secondary vocational schools to perform their duties in school physical education, to promote them to conscientiously implement the tasks and requirements put forward by the state and Shanghai, to improve the evaluation mechanism in line with the new era of vocational school physical education, and to promote the scientific development of vocational school physical education. The investigation is mainly around the organization and management, curriculum reform, competition and training, condition guarantee, students’ physical health, characteristic work and other aspects. It conducted field research by means of listening to reports, questionnaires, interviews, in-class lectures, campus observation, access to information and so on.
By investigating the physical education in our school, this investigation will further comprehensively implement the fundamental task of cultivating people by virtue, establish the education concept of health first, effectively implement the “New Courses and New Textbooks” promotion of the subject of physical education and health in Shanghai secondary vocational schools. At the same time, it will promote the teaching quality of physical education in our school and improve students’ physical and mental health.
